From The Editor
American World University has been very busy this spring. We have added many new affiliated schools and representatives. We are working hard to improve our faculty by adding new highly skilled professors. Also, we are traveling to many new locations, some in the Middle East, where AWU has several hundred students. Our good friends and representatives in Guatemala will be visiting our offices in Los Angeles during July. We heartily welcome Paty and Berny Orantes of the company OCADE. OCADE now handles all of Central American and Mexico for AWU. Thanks also to Ariosvaldo da Silva in Brazil who is working hard on our behalf with former students, new students and the Brazilian government. In short, we expect the balance of the year to be filled with many good things for our students, our staff and our administration.
Next Graduation
The next graduation will be held July 15 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The fee is $250.00 for graduates which includes dinner and the cap and gown. The fee for guests is $125.00 and also includes a reception and dinner. American World has held many graduations at the Crowne Plaza, all of which have been quite successful. If you want to attend the graduation we need to know by June 15 since all reservations must be prepaid.

Internet Learning
As predicted, at least 50% of all college students now study at-distance or on-line. By the year 2010 this figure may double as the world population is increasingly busy, and often cannot afford the time and money needed for a traditional college education. Our accreditation association, the World Association of Universities and Colleges is working hard to improve the caliber of distance learning among its 50 schools. WAUC was established 15 years ago and still maintains the highest standards for its members.
With best wishes to all,
